Re: Enthusiast iPad Pro 10.5

I was listening to Mac Power User https://www.relay.fm/mpu/archive They had a program on iOS settings. As a new user I grabbed the settings for magnifier. Took off the free app I had downloaded and started using Apple’s. Recently, I figured out I can use text replacement to quickly entry of symbols....

Re: Enthusiast iPad Pro 10.5

Stephen, the iPad is working for your family. A few notes inspired by your post. I've stuffed recipes into Evernote for years. They sat in the format I captured them. I tried a mass move into Ulysses. It choked on some of the files. Changing them to PDF format would have been an excellent idea. Besi...

Enthusiast iPad Pro 10.5

An enthusiast are you? I've been using my tablet for a few months. I still use an Android Nexus 7 but iOS 11 and my 10.5 is a step up. Using iCloud drive to sync with my iMac extends the scope. Ulysses, MindNode, Things 3, Day One, Gladys and Spark are among my favorite apps. Ulysses is a markdown t...

Re: Argg Moving Folder/Files from iCloud Failure

Thanks... I'll look once again. The screenshots are usefull. The time spent by both of you is appreciated. Since I've been known to miss the big red button in the middle of the screen.... Side point I'm enjoying my 10.5" iPad. Though I'm not abandoning my older 27" iMac I could go with the iPad as m...

Argg Moving Folder/Files from iCloud Failure

Must be something simple... I want to reduce the number of files on iCloud drive. I have my desktop stored on iCloud. I move a 15 gig music folder from the desktop to downloads. Am warned by OS this folder will not be available on iCloud. Make the move. "The folder is no longer shown on my Mac or iP...

Re: El Capitan Features

But, I am going to wait on upgrading until the tide of El Capitan complaints slackens at the App Store. Did you have some specific concerns? At the App Store over half of the El Capitan ratings are one star — most recent release. Maybe, the complaints do not effect me. Example, I do not use Outlook...

Re: El Capitan Features

Ray, I really appreciate the idea of a built in split screen ability. I use Scrivener, a writing app, that boasts this ability. Extremely useful for me.

But, I am going to wait on upgrading until the tide of El Capitan complaints slackens at the App Store.

Re: Service porviders

Are you on copper line with Century Link? My experience a mile or so from downtown Sequim was very slow throughput. Have Wave now much better service. (You probably have this already figured out by now.)
